VOLUNTEER ROLE DESCRIPTION

ROLE TITLE:               Youth Engagement Volunteer

SECTION:                    Youth Engagement/Community Development Unit

RESPONSIBLE TO:     Youth Engagement Manager

RESPONSIBLE FOR:  Young Person and/or Young People

HOURS:                       10-20 hours (including assigned evening and weekends)

LOCATION:                  370 Portobello Road, London, W10 5XZ


MAIN OBJECTIVE
To aid and assist young people aged 12 – 19+ years old, who are at risk of being, or have been excluded from school, getting in trouble with the police, or experiencing various forms of social exclusion. In practice this means we provide a 1-2-1 and/or group mentoring services and/or activities with the aim to support young people in their personal and social development with particular emphasis on:

  Assisting young people with the planning, co-ordination Action Plans.
